AutoTag Now In Excel

The Windward Reports Server Engine is perfect for users creating both java reports and .NET reports alike, and now allows users to design reports in both Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel as well.

Windward, a leader in with its design-in-Word reporting software because of its ease of use, now adds the advantages of Excel to its portfolio of simple-to-use, superior reporting products.  Windward’s new AutoTag reporting software uniquely uses Excel to intelligently figure out sums and number formatting, and allows users to build a table which supports calculations. AutoTag still outputs to Word, or any other output format, to produce reporting documents.

Enhanced & Easier Chart Editor

We have vastly improved our Chart Editor with brand new layouts, color options and more enhanced support.  Not only can you now edit the chart layouts item by item, but with the Chart Tag Editor you can directly edit your beautiful charts and graphs using extra tabs right on the report template.  To see a video demonstration of the new Chart Editor, click here.

Revamped Tag Editor

Our Tag Editor has been completely revolutionized and is now capable of tagged tab editing.  Intuitive layout and smart tabs know when to display or hide themselves.  We've also improved on more logical tag grouping, browsing and an on/off toggle.  A drag and drop feature has also been put in place to increase the speed of data tag construction by allowing the user to drags things out of a pane, automatically creating the Xpath or SQL statement.  For more information and screenshots, click here.

Nickname Feature

This helpful addition allows you to decide the tag name, choosing what and when it is shown.  You can also include comments to remind you of its function for future use.
